Grey skies can make anyone feel blue - but that doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. I love this aquamarine ring. Aquamarines usually have a pale sky blue color which is a perfect complement to winter whites. This particular ring has diamonds marching down the shank (that’s the part of the ring which is immediately next to the center design but not exactly the band) which look a bit like icicles. Southern California is not exactly known for its snowy weather so it’s nice to get a little frost in… even if it’s only in jewelry!
I’m lucky enough to work in a business that I thoroughly love. I get to play with fun, and often fabulous, pieces of jewelry on a daily basis. You’d think that seeing this stuff all the time would make it all get a little bit boring but instead, my enthusiasm has only grown. I really wanted to start a blog dedicated to the pieces I adore so that I could share my knowledge and passion with other gem-crazy people!
So, to start this off, because the internet LOVES cats… here’s a super cute Mid-Century nephrite jade cat pendant! A lot of the kitschiest vintage things come from the 1960’s and this dark jade kitty is definitely a good example. It’s a perfect piece for the crazy cat-lady in all of us!
